Dirty Projectors are a Brooklyn-based band active since the 2000s. An intellectual, off-kilter brand of indie pop (one might associate them with Grizzly Bear or Vampire Weekend), they are essentially the vehicle of singer David Longstreth. He had the excellent idea of surrounding himself with different members throughout the band’s career, and while he leaves them little room for the actual composition of the songs, he is more than happy to hand them the microphone. Here, Angel Deradoorian works wonders on this little chamber-pop gem, a welcome clearing in an album whose twists and turns can at times be quite labyrinthine.

Dirty Projectors est un groupe de Brooklyn actif depuis les années 2000. Pop indé intello et étrange (on pourrait les associer à Grizzly Bear ou Vampire Weekend), véhicule du chanteur David Longstreth, celui-ci a eu l’excellente idée de s’entourer de différents membres tout au long de la carrière du groupe et, s’il ne leur laisse guère de place pour la composition proprement dite des morceaux, il leur offre bien volontiers le micro (et accessoirement la pochette du disque !). Ici, Angel Deradoorian fait des merveilles sur cette petite perle de pop de chambre, salutaire éclaircie dans un album aux méandres parfois très tortueux.
