Another giant of 20th-century music has just passed away: Lalo Schifrin, the Argentine composer and arranger who entered the collective memory thanks to the legendary Mission: Impossible theme.

In addition to the heaps of film scores to his name (including Bullitt, Dirty Harry, Cool Hand Luke, Enter the Dragon…), Schifrin also released dozens of jazz records (with bossa and Latin influences) and notably collaborated with Dizzy Gillespie.
